16th Annual Pride London Parade & Festival Highlights on Rogers TV

Rogers TV Logo Rogers TV, Cable 13 will broadcast coverage of the 16th Annual Pride Parade, including highlights of the Pride London Festival 2010 on Wednesday, July 28th at 8 PM. Join parade commentators, Rachel Gilbert, of Rogers TV First Local news and Brian Lester, Executive Director of the AIDS Committee of London who will be at our broadcast location at Wellington and Dundas to bring you all the excitement.

"We are so happy they will again be covering the parade and also expanding coverage to many other Pride events."

There are over 40 entries in this year's parade including floats, decorated vehicles, and performers representing community organizations and businesses. This year's parade broadcast will include special informative features about Pride in London including profiles of this year's Parade Grand Marshall, the Pride Library at The University of Western Ontario and the 19th Annual Pride London Art Exhibit, which is one of the single longest running Pride events in Canada. In addition, Rogers TV will highlight other Pride London Festival events taking place across the City and introduce you to the new Pride London Board of Directors.

At the Parade, watch for our Rogers TV volunteer ambassador team and our colleagues from Rogers Plus who will be walking alongside our float handing out goodies. Joining them will be some of the dogs that were successfully adopted through the ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) Ontario program.

Encore presentations will air Thursday, July 29th at 9 PM, Saturday, July 31st at 9 PM, Sunday, August 1st at 8 PM, Tuesday, August 3rd at 1 and 9 PM, Wednesday, August 4th at 9 PM. For additional encores please visit www.rogerstv.com under TV schedules.

For an opportunity to appear on Roger's TV, you need to fill these out and return them to us so we can give them to Rogers Cable 13, at least a week prior to the parade: 2010ProductionRelease_PrideParade.doc

Parade Registration

In an attempt to enhance the safety surrounding the parade, the Board of Directors in partnership with the London Police Services, have decided to implement a parade participant registration process for the Pride Parade. Do have a look at the following explanatory letter and current parade registration form. Please complete the parade registration form and send back to deb@pridelondon.ca. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this process, be sure to contact deb@pridelondon.ca. She would be happy to answer any questions, address concerns and consider your suggestions.

2010 Pride London Festival Parade:

July 25th 2010 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm

  • Formation at 12:00 noon on Queens Ave parking lot between Adelaide and Elizabeth Street.
  • Parade leaves the parking lot at 1pm to Dundas Street.
  • Parade arrives at the Outdoor Venue at 2:00 pm(ish).

2010 Pride London Festival Parade Route Map

This is the 16th year for Pride London Festival Parade. This year we are going straight down Dundas Street! Let's make this our best Pride London Festival Parade ever!! There is no fee to enter in the parade.

We are having a parade contest with three prizes of $250.00 each. Please submit your plans for your entry into our parade and we will award the three best plans and give you the money to put your entry together! The deadline to submit your plans is: July 1, 2010.

Please submit your nominations for Grand Marshall to deb@pridelondon.ca by June 20th, 2010.
